Successes i have have had in this school year have been that i learnd so many new thing like i have learned to talk more properly and too not use slang also i have learned spanish which is very fun and i am very good at it at that.so failures were that i still had problems in math and that i got to try different equations and algebra which is very interesting.but i have more successes than i have failures so i think that is a major good thing and that i have stronger relationship with all of my teachers who are always thier to help me withany problems or concerns that i have so i am very proud of my self for steping up this year.

Erick's Autobiography Paper

Hi my name is Erick Nyheem Bennett i was born on April 14,1993. Born to Nicole cower and Eric Bennett .Sr. My parents weren't married but they loved each other very much even though it was a very far relationship because my father wasn't really around much he spent a lot of time back and forth in jail so i never really knew a lot about my dad growing up. My mother and me lived with my grandparents in mt. airy so life was pretty good and calm. When i was about 2 i stated pre-school at Grace temple until i was about 3 then i went to Mckineys until i was 5. During that moment in my life something very sad happen my Mother passed away from Sickle cell when i was 5 years old i miss very much as i think about it was a very sad day for my family and for the most part my grandparents were hurt the most because it's hard for a parents to see their child pass away before them.

But as the years went by i had started to live with my aunt and uncle who were just getting married in September with their 5 children Aja,Jenae,Khamaree,Keyanna,Niara and to add me they now had 6. I didn't what to leave my granparents but because my grandfather had to work a lot and my grandmother working at temple hospital all day their would be no one to watch me so i moved with my aunt and uncle in their small 4 bed room house in south Philadelphia. As i lived in south Philly i attended Meredith public school with my sister Keyanna for the time i was there which was for 1st and 2nd grade i wasn't always a good student i really never did my work in class. In mostly all of my classes i passed barely i would always talk in class and wouldn't stay in my seat and i was only like 6 years old.

As many years went by everybody was growing up in my family and it was time to get a new house so we moved to a nice little neighborhood called East Oak Lane were all the house were nice and big and also lots of yard space for our dogs. When the school year started i went to the neighborhod school which was right around the coner from our house. So i didn't have to walk far to get to school and my god-brother who was in my same class would be there so i wouldn't be alone. As the school year began i think i did very well by trying to stay on point until i started hanginng out with some of the wrong people and started getting in trouble. In the 3rd grade at Ellwood elementary school i had this one teacher named Mr.Wallace who was always on mycase about doing the right thing in class and getting all my work done then i could play later.

But when i left to go to 4th grade i was suprise that i had the same teacher again so i couldn't really act a fool in his class because he already knew what i was about and kept in touch with my aunt to give her updates on how i was doing in class. But when i went to the 5th grade i meet a teacher that was smart and cared about the students in his class his name was Mr. Lynskie and i took advantage of him because i thought he was justone of those teacher who you could just say and do anything in his class but i was wrong because as soon as i had did something he would suspend me because he didn't put up with any foolish stuff.

As i was started the six grade it would be my last year at Ellwood then we would graduate but lucky me because i didn't want to do any work and i wanted to talk back to teachers i didn't get to graduate with my fellow class mates because i wanted to be the class clown and i wanted to be the cool person in class. So as i thought over the summer what i needed to do to get my self ready for 7th and 8th grade which would be the most important school years of my life to determine what high school i would go to. So as i flew through the 7th grade i found out that 8th grade wounld much hard as we would have to take state exams to see if we were ready for high school but the reason i told myself i had to improve my self was because of the 8th grade graduation that was coming up and i had to be in it so i could show my family that i wanted to be something when i grew up and not a bum on the streets.

And finally with all my hard work through the school year i graduated with all of my family there and it felt so good to finally accomplish something in my life that i work very hard for.And now i am attending New Media Technology Charter School which is alot of fun because it is a technology based school and that is the type of stuff i like. Goals that i would like to persue is to become a Chef because i really like to cook dinner for my family also i like to experiment different things. And thats my Autobiography.

Burlesque story

The Presidential election is a very important moment in history. Because it is the first time in history that a white woman and a Black man are the top selection for president of the united states of America. But some of the things that are being done to endorse this candidates are ridiculous like on mad tv they make jokes like hilary clinton is sleeping and George W.Bush is calling and he's nervous abou't something and ilary is trying tocalm him down but he doesn't calm down. Also on WWE World wrestling entertainment they set up a macth between Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton but when it came on was so funny that i could not stop watching although it wasn't them foreal but the way they dressed people up to actually look like them was very funny. Barack Obama had big ears and Hilary Clinton had this big head of hair and Bill Clinton was there to and Hilary was beating him up because he wouldn't shutup.

2. Catalog poem-
A Birthday Poem For Roxann

There is jar of daily nourishing creme and age-defying night cream on the white-washed pine bureau beside the Victoria Secret catalog And my white lace and ruffled nightshirt still slips off carefully to the floor, while Saturday vanilla-scented candles traps moonlight as a smooth shadow on the wall. But mostly, I hear the mellow music of a sexycrooner making make me feel the sunlight of anew day wash carefully over my body, and then I remember why love means so much to me. Louise Marie DelSanto

3. Imagination Poem-Golden clouds basking in the sun's lightHovering above the dreams of the world I have not known how to defer this painI have not known the right way to shed shameAll these bright hallows smothering this deathThe death of our rumbling mindsTrying to find the right way to simply liveAnd we figure this is what is bestLiving in all this stress and ignoring the pressWe ignore those broken homes we ignore our childhood dreamsWe don’t give up we go on and swim into the deepThis life was just too much for meI was the one who jumpedI was the one who pulled the triggerI was the one who lay down and I was tired of the fightAll of this… the world… it brought me downAnd now … now I lay underground victoria martinez

4. Nature poem-
Pleasure By The Nature

Nature brings a colourful beauty to one’s heart, It flies in our hearts like colourful butterfly, It strengthens the hearts with huge wings to fly, A beautiful creature lives in the heart of nature.A life is not enough to enjoy the whole nature, Each and every part of the Universe comes under nature, The nature is part of existence of human life, Without the nature, there will be no future. The nature survives the lives with pleasure, The beautiful nature is a creator of great desire, The fine nature lives with us and lives in us, It brings many dreams and memories to us.Oh God! We are thankful for gifting us a pleasant nature, It is one’s responsibility to save the beauty of nature, A true living in the heart of nature helps an achiever, To achieve the long life period of his splendid desire.*******ByDr. M.Swaroopa Rani M.A., PhD

5.Miricle Poem-
My Miracles

I don't believe in miracles, Except, deep in my heart, And deep down there, is where, I know I get my share. But sometimes, when I'm mad, I pray for something bad, And then, I quickly add, to all my pleas, Oh please, don't waste my miracles, on these. Don't waste my miracles On little things, like these. Frank Greenberg

6.Just for fun-
The FUN Poem

It's more fun livin' when you're having fun....It's more fun golfing when you hole in one.... It's more fun dreamin' when your dreams come true...It's more fun winning at whatever you do.... ThreeCompact Essay

GAS PRICES
I Seems to me that gas prices go up every month. In support of this my parent go to New Jersey just to get gas because it's cheaper than Philadelphia. Like wise I hope that when i get my car gas is not as high as it is now eventhough it will be even higher than now. Eventually gas will be as high as $4.00 or $5.00 and people will will be very shocked. As a result of gas going up 17 cent in New Jersey the gas is still cheaper than here in Philadelphia. Despite the fact that gas is really high people have cut down on buying gas alot. Afterall in a few more years gas will be even higher maybe gas will be like $6.00. To close this story when gas becomes $6.00 the flying car will be invented and all are gas problems will be gone.

TRACK TEAM
The question is will the track team continue to keep up the good work at track meets and consist on having a positive attitude and work hard to achieve our goals which is to make it to champinships. That is if everybody one the team puts 110 percent to win their event or do as good as they can. What's more important is that everyone on the team helps one another and try's to boost everyone's confidence. Prior to yesterdays track meet everybody did good except for the shotputters because we came in 7th and 8th because most of the our competition were much bigger than us and also because we were not physicaly ready so it was somewhat our falt but it's okay because we have three more years to become fit and strong for next track season. Since we did good everybody has much more confidance than we had before and want to come home with medals.

People with Bad attitude
I assert that to many people in my class have nasty attitude's about every little thing that sometime may not be that big of a deal and try to drag the problem out and keep nagging about it until some shows them some attention. furthermore it's many of the girls who have this very annoying attitude and they act like they are still in 3rd grade and have no life to live. Inparticular it's the girls who think thier boss of the class and their the most popular so they think that they can talk about anyone they want. On account of this the reason I think they talk about people is because it's something wrong with them. So because i am a nice guy and I try to be as nice as possible i don't say anything because I don't want to start more drama than it is in our class. To close this story I wish they would that girls in my class would stop being jerks and grow up and find a new hobbie to play with.

Through The Lens of the Living
(Music of the 1980's)
Music of the 1980's was a very important moment in history because if you were a artist you were trying to draw the attention of black and white audience. Back in the 80's popular enterainers like micheal jackson, prince, public enemy and the great james brown were mainly making songs that would send a message to the black communitys. also some music that micheal jackson would sing would have to do with social problem and also world wide problems. How did the music influence many people it influence many people because the music that they would be pointing out things in the world that may not be right in some ways and it would make some people who agree with these facts would try to do something about it and fight to improve it and make the world a better place. In the year 1980 micheal jackson came out with the hit Rock with you that peak at number 1 on the pop charts.
Also in the year 1981 song like celebration by kool and the gang were coming out and people like the song even though it was written by someone white people still loved the song because it was about having good time's siting back and relaxing. In the year 1983 micheal jackson's thriller was the best selling album in the United states featuring song Beat It , Billie Jean,Thriller and another of Micheal jackson's smash hits wanna be startin something. At the time micheal jackson's thriller was released it was number 1 on the charts for 37 weeks and at this time music hit it's high peak and didn't stop. also on january 31,1983 thriller was certified as platinum. Another great artist of the 80's is prince who is very simular to micheal jackson but is not as good as the king of pop.
In 1984 prince wrote the song when doves cry which is a very nice song ,ade it's way on the top 10 song on the pop charts. In 1986 prince scored again with another great hit kiss which was a song that would relax the your mood. In 1988 Micheal jackson released two more song The way you make me feel which was one of micheal's top hits because of the energy he bought to the song . Also one of micheal's most inspiring songs was Man in the Mirror because he was trying to get a point that when you look in a mirror don't just look at your self as a regular person see your self as someone who can change the world in many different ways. In 1989 Michael Jackson's bad tour was the largest tour any entertainer has ever done before it was 16 months with 123 shows in15 countries and 4 continents and viewed about 2 million people.
Also in 1889 michael Jackson performed at sammy davis jr 60 anniversary who was one of the greatest performers of all time. Also the song that michael sang at his anniversary was nominated for a emmy award . But besides micheal jackson being the greatest entertainer alive in the 1980's there were many more popular groups out like grand master flash and the furious five and public enemy. Who all come the days of Hip-Hop, now in the 80's i'll say that is when Hip-Hop took a major leap. Because these groups were making music that everybody wanted to hear so people would really listen to the songs and not just turn it off as soon as it came on because it wasn't the type of music they listen to before.
Also besides Hip-Hop being big in the 80's their was a simular genre called R&B which had to do with alot of talented singers such as bobby brown, baby face and whitney houston. On very touching song by whitney was The Greatest Love of all which talks about how are children are the furture and that it depends on us to change and help the world in any way possible. Another popular song was my proragative in this song bobby brown was basically saying why is everybody always trying to tell him what to do and let him live his life. But for all these talented entertainers to be as successful as they were in the 80's they knew it was always a consistant race to have a song that was always better and differrent an did not have the same vibe and flow your last song had. Also it was a fight for artist to create song that would be albe to build it's way up to try and get a spot on the charts and to put in that extra effort so your song could sell more than a artist who is always a big seller.
During the late 1978 and the beggining of the 1980's hip-hop began to take its break in the South Brox area of New York City. Basically representing it's self with graffiti art, break dancing, rap music and fashion. Hip-Hop soon became a major cultural movement for the African American and Hispanic Communities in the 1980's by tagging rapping and break dancing which were all acts of the male and female competition.
But as Hip-Hop spread around more people started to boost up hip-hop to make it even bigger be know world wide starting with some hip-hop pioneers like Afrika Bambauta who founded the Zulu Nation which was a organization of talented street dance crews, graffiti artist and rap musicians. The popularity of Hip-Hop grew quickly to pull forward white consumers through movies, music, vidoes, radio play and media reports. The next Hip-Hop pioneer is Run-Dmc which include joesph simmons(Rev), Darryl Mcdanles(DMC) and the late Dj jam master j who was shot and killed.Run- Dmc are Hip-Hop pioneers because of the music brought to the table and the flow that all there songs one of the most famous songs is Walk This way featuring aerosmith which was made in 1982.
Also thier were many more Hip-Hop pioneers such as Public Enemy which was formed by Chuck D who is a member and his companion Flava-Flav who was best know for wearing a big clock around his neck and for being Chuck's hype man. Public Enemy best used thier talented music skill to bring awareness to the black communities about things that were destroying the communities and the streets of the young people and that it was a time for change and that it was up to the people to do something about. Also in 1988 Public Enemy released It takes a nation to hold us back which was one of the most out spoken and successful album's of all times. Besides Public Enemy being one of the best their was one group that shock the world The Beastie boys whick was a all white group but the way they would rap would make them sound black but other than thier color they were just as hot as any other hip-hop group out in the 80's.
One more hip-hop pioneer that really made hip-hop pop was LL Cool J which stood for Ladys Love Cool J which was a pretty cool name but the reason he made hip-hop better was because the ladys love him and that he bought this whole new attitude of a bad boy and was really hard core. Also some songs that boosted up his career was mamma said knock you out that was one of his major hits as teenager. But one day LL Cool J decided that he wanted to try making love song but people were against it because they wanted him to keep making the music he was doing bacause they really like it. But he went on and made his first love song called I need Love and some of his fans did not like and some did then after that song released I'm Going back to Cali" which was a very smooth song and the fan loved the song.
Also all these great Hip-Hop pioneers learned that it's all about your fan when you are a entertainer and that you often write music for your fans because they are what make you sucessful and rich. An the last Hip-Hop pioneer of them all Krs-One who is one of the most respected pioneer of all because of how real he was and didn't try to sugar coat anything and that just how his music was and he to used his talented music skills to bring awareness to more Black communities and stopping racial hate and to respect one another.
Now back to the oldies of the 1980's this man was very great singer and is a popular figure inthe the world today this man is blind but can still play the piano and the harmonaca and his named is Stevie Wonder. Stevie Wonder is a very talented person in the music industury and is still performing in front of live audience and is a person that many entertainer's of today look up to him. In the 80's Stevie Wonder had sucessful songs such as Superstition, Ribbon in the Sky, Isn't she lovely, Do i Do and finally Happy Birthday which was dedicated to Martin Luther King jr on his birthday and Stevie Wonder is the reason why Martin Luther King's birthday is a national holiday.
Finally to conclude my story I think the music of the1980's was a very important moment in history because it show black, white and hispanic communities major thing that were wrong in the communities and things that were good in the communities. Also I think that the 1980's was the time of Hip-Hop because that is when many of the people who made Hip-hop a world wide thing and many people like what they were hearing. and wanted to be apart of something that would change the world and would be later thank for because they were paving the way for many more artist to make Hip-Hop even more know to the world and would never be forgotten
Also I fill that all the people who were apart of this decade will be remembered for all there hard work to make it last and to make the people around at that time happy to be apart of the community that helped the artist be sucessful and to continue letting them make music to please the fans and the world. But more importantly without the Hip-Hop pioneers Public Enemy, LL Cool J, Krs-One, Run-Dmc, Afrika Bambauta and Grandmaster flash and the furious five hip-hop would not be as big as it is now.
Finally all the music of the 1980's was very impotant because it always had a message and and was never about the money or how many girls you had but it was about changing the world and and making a difference in people who didn't always do good thing but had a good heart. and to end this story the 80's was a great decade and the music the represented the 80's will always be remembered as the decade of change
